My Way Of Treating Artists

Well I think you all know it already. But I wanted to write it down, to make it sure! You know sometimes my brain is way to confused and by writing down stuff I might remember things like how to treat artists.

Always respect those who make music!

I mean are you able to create masterpieces? No? Then you are like me. Then you should be happy out there are people who are able to transform feelings and words to music notes and lyrics. Thats a huge talent! And now we come to one of my points how to treat artists. You shouldn’t talk any bad about them. Even when you don’t like their music. Thats normal, I mean not everyone can like the same things. For that are genres here, for that are different styles here. Still they are able to create stuff, you aren’t able to!

Let’s go away of this good vs bad journalism

In my eyes it is always a no go to talk bad about someone in public. It might be ok if an artists ask me why I rejected the submission, why I don’t like a certain song. In private it might be ok. But you should be able to tell someone logical why this or that isn’t a like for you. Do not hurt the artist by saying this is shit or something like that.
This brings me some memories back. I believe I told you already about this one artist who got send over to me by another online radio station. They told him to submit music to TFSC, because only us play such shit like his music. Thats the biggest no go to say. People are proud of their creation. There was no explantion why this is “shit”, just the shit was written there. So please be kind to others… Fun fact of this story here: The station who sent me this pretty cool artist doesnt excist anymore and tada me and the artist are still doing what they love to do!

Motivate others and don’t push them down in public

Yes, I know easy said. But at most things you don’t like are sometimes parts which you still like. Show them what is good at a song and tell them how to work around it. Even though the artist doesn’t have to listen to it. Still there are others who adore that song how it is! But as a “influencer” or however you call yourself, maybe even a “journalist”, you should stay professional and keep out the bad thoughts. We have enough bad things in the world, so be positive one time! Or like we have that saying here in my area, maybe in enitre Germany, “If you doesn’t have to say anything, then simply stfu”
With these words I better end my article here. Maybe those who love to talk bad think about how to treat others and most importantly our Indies! Support them, they need it, they deserve it!
