On February 1st happened the 8th birthday of Radio TFSC. I have decided to not celebrate it at all this year. There are some reasons for it. I tell you a bit about it in this article

But First…

Yes first I have to tell you a bit about the station. We have got some more listeners and artists on the station. They might not know about the history of this station. In 2016 I have founded this station to support an online game which was back going down. Somehow I thought we might get more players for it again. But yeah in April 2016 it shut down.
Back to the start in February. Finding a name for it. I had to think a longer time and came to the point to use TFSC because I already used this in the game. In this game you were able to sell stuff (Furniture, clothes, art and a lot more). I ran back then an outlet there with some friends. We called it The Family Shop and surprisingly the owner group was called The Family Shop Crew or short TFSC! Tada mistery of the name solved!

2016 – 2018

The start was pretty good. We had a lot of listeners, we played a lot of cool music. Yet only mainstream. I personally got bored of it and thought at the end of 2018 what to do with the station to get happy with it again. That was the moment I was remembering MySpace. I met there some cool indie bands. So I started to search for indie music and thankfully found some great pages (which I mentioned in the last article) and started to buy the music and simply blasted it on the station

2019 – now

2019 a lot of bands started to submit their music and I felt like to be in heaven. Amazing music I have never heard before, cool people to talk to and simply get “lost” in music. Manomachine created a new logo, Silence The Crow somehow started to call it the TFSC Family and as last add on to the station Betty called my little stories on Twitter “Tales Of Oli”.
Thanks to all of our artists we have created a cool community which simply enjoys the music. This is one of the coolest things ever. All care for music, care for eachother and nothing else!

Now The Reasons

There are a lot of reasons why I don’t want to celebrate it. The main reason is.. I don’t like it to be celebrated. I feel like we have to celebrate the music, the artists! They do the work of creating magic, I only share it. I am not the reason why this station is alive, I am the reason why it started. Now we have the good vibes thanks to the music and the awesome people behind it. They deserve every spotlight they can get. Me? Not at all, I am “just” the “music dealer” for the listeners. Thats all. It is about the music and the artists. Lets celebrate them everyday by sharing music, by mentioning them on social media or to your friends.
