It is time for 11 Questions! This time I have asked those questions one of my fav rockers from Australia! It is MorganX!
The musical part:
1. Whats your favorite song by MorganX?
Ooohhh that’s a tough question! Outcast seems to have always been a favorite from the listeners, but I sometimes find myself singing What I’m Looking For, believe it or not! I think that might be my favourite, because it has a deeper meaning to me as well. It is a song about how much I love music – making it, listening to it, meeting new people because of it, finding communities and new friends who like the same things I do. It’s a fairly simple song, but I hope the passion comes across in the lyrics. Honorable mention to answer the call though, that has a really fun guitar solo in it!
2. Your favorite instrument?
Guitar of course! Though I’d really like to learn to play the drums. But they are a loud and I don’t want to disturb my neighbours if I was to practice. I could get digital/electric drums I know, but they would probably still be annoying for the people I live with.
3. Tell us a place where you would love to have a gig
I dont particularly have a venue that im thinking of, but… would it be amazing to play at a Stadium? Like..even to be a support act before everyone goes into the Stadium. Who cares how many people are there listening, I just want to stand on a stage THAT big! Actually…now that I think of it…it would be very cool to play at something like Wacken (music fest)
The non musical part:
4. What is your favorite book?
I haven’t read it since I was little, but my all time favourite book growing up was Heidi (the girl in the Swiss Alps) I used to finish it and then start reading it again!
5. Tell us a weird fact about you
A weird fact… gosh this is a difficult question. I don’t think this is really a weird fact but rather something sort of unfortunate: I used to be somewhat of an entertainment journalist before covid happened – and I was once given the opportunity to interview Mick Jagger which I DECLINED because I was too scared and nervous. (I know I’m still crying about this one, I should’ve said yes, right!?)
6. Please end the sentence: For a perfect evening, I need….
For no one to annoy me. I will come to you if I want to talk (this makes me sound like an awful person!! I promise I’m very nice so say my friends!)
7. Where would you love to be on holiday?
I want to go back to Stockholm in Sweden! I went there for the first time ever last year and it truly was the best place I have ever been. It really reminded me a lot of Sydney here in Australia, at least the central city area that is. It was very much planned out the same as Sydney, and very clean! But if it had to be somewhere new… maybe Japan! I’ve never been there and I’m very fascinated with their vintage technology like the fujifilm cameras and old cassette tapes, things like like. But also Japanese records are usually very sought after! It would be cool to get some CDs or Vinyls there too.
8. What is a must to be on a pizza?
Ham! Every pizza I have ever enjoyed had ham on it. Simply, it goes with everything.
9. Watching a movie at home or at cinema?
I really enjoy going to the cinema, with the surround sound. Though it can get really expensive here once you’ve got the ticket and then the popcorn and a drink and whatever else, it all adds up. I am a massive collector of DVDs, so usually whatever I want to watch I already have it in my house without having to find it on a streaming service.
10. Something you need to cool down at a hot summer day
It gets VERY hot over here in summer, sometimes up to 40 degrees celsius. My favourite thing to escape the heat is going ice skating! Because then I’m not dying of heatstroke. I usually just…freeze at the rink then hahaha!
11. If you could ask Oli a question, what would it be?
My question is: If there was something that Oli wanted everyone to know about himself, what would it be?
Uh thats a tough question. Umm not sure, I believe everyone knows the important things about me. That I love music, beer and coffee! You really got me here, normally I am not out of words but here I am! Haha Oh maybe that one!! Oli has always a reply for every question (even it doesnt make sense)
